In Ireland a successful tour depends on the weather because Ireland has a really nasty weather. I always say that Ireland has only two seasons which are Monsoon and Winter. According to the Irish Meteorological service most of the eastern half of the country gets between 750 and 1000 (mm) of rainfall in the year. Rainfall in the west generally averages between 1000 and 1400 mm. In many mountainous districts rainfall exceeds 2000mm per year. Therefore, if the day of your tour is not sunny and rain-free you will not able to enjoy your trip. On September 2, 2012 we went to visit one of the most famous tourist spots of Ireland called Cliffs of Moher which is in the southwestern edge of county Clare of Ireland. Cliffs of Moher are 120 metres (390 ft) above the Atlantic Ocean at Hag's Head, and reach their maximum height of 214 metres (702 ft) just north of O'Brien's Tower, eight kilometres to the north. This place receives almost one million visitors every year. I have been to Cliffs Moher last year in April and enjoyed that tour much more than this year because the weather was awesome.
Our next destination was Kilkee which is a small coastal town in County Clare, Ireland. The town is one of the most famous resorts in Ireland and particularly popular as a seaside resort with people from Limerick City. If the day of your trip is rain-free and sunny I would say Kilkee seaside will look more beautiful than Cliffs of Moher. Obviously, Cliffs of Moher has another taste of beauty but in Kilkee you can have a combine taste of Cliffs and seaside walking among the green. It will take 7:30 hours if you want to travel by car from Dublin to Kilkee in the same day.
